The incident unfolded in the fourth quarter when Ramsey was confronted with a series of provocations from Bengals players. Terry Bradshaw did not hold back when breaking down the sequence.
“I’ve watched football my entire life, and I know exactly when a player is being treated unfairly. Ramsey was clearly provoked — pushed into a situation no one could stay calm in — and yet he was the only one thrown out. That’s not just unreasonable, it makes me wonder whether we’re seeing something bigger behind those decisions.”
Bradshaw emphasized that the Steelers have faced questionable officiating for several seasons, arguing that situations like this cannot continue to be ignored. He stated the issue is no longer about one play — but about the lack of consistency in how NFL games are officiated.
“This isn’t the first time the Steelers have been hit with questionable calls,” Bradshaw added on-air. “And if the NFL wants to protect the integrity of this game, they have to reevaluate everything from the ground up.”
According to multiple reports, the NFL is expected to conduct an official review based on HD video angles that surfaced after the game — footage the officiating crew did not have access to at the time of their ruling. This has further solidified Steelers fans’ belief that Ramsey was treated unfairly.
Head coach Mike Tomlin remained composed but clearly disappointed. He stated that players must maintain control, but also subtly acknowledged that Ramsey was put in an almost impossible position.
